Bamboo bar/cabinet

I’m designing a bar/cabinet for my kitchen.
The structure is going to made out of gypsum blocks with a plastered finish (stucco). I’m thinking of using bamboo for the blades/tops. I’ve got some bamboo samples, but I find them to light colored.
